What Are Breast Lumps?
A breast lump is a localized swelling, mass, or thickening in the breast tissue that feels different from the surrounding area. Lumps may vary in size, texture, and mobility and may occur in one or both breasts.
Not all breast lumps are cancerous. Many are related to hormonal changes, benign growths, or infections. However, every new or changing lump should be evaluated by a medical professional.
